Kerala may seek WHO help to battle Nipah

  KOZHIKODE, MAY 22ND 

A day after it was confirmed that the        Nipah  infection had caused the death of three members of a family in Kerala’s Kozhikode district, a team from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has termed the incidence the “third major outbreak in the country.”

One more person died of suspected infection of the virus on Monday. The laboratory result of another person who died on Sunday has confirmed the presence of the virus. The     state govt  is considering seeking the help of the World Health Organisation.
