Gurukulam-style music classes

Carnatic musician S P Ramh of Chennai would be the resource person of the Karunbithil Sangeetha Shibira 2012 - the annual music camp in gurukulam style, to be conducted by the Krishna Gana Sudha Global Arts Academy at Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka, from May 8, 2012 to May 13, 2012.

The most exciting part of the programme is 'a day with maestro Dr M Balamuralikrishna' - on May 12, 2012.

The daily schedule consists of basic practice, music lessons by resource persons, revision, concerts by visiting musicians and performances by participants.

Singer Ramh would be conducting daily lessons for the 'sishyas' in the gurukulam and hold a vocal concert on the concluding session with Embar S. Kannan on the violin and K U Jayachandra Rao on the mridangam and V Suresh on the ghatam.

There would also be other vocal concerts, veena recital and violin duet and percussion concert throughout the gurukulam period.
