Artist Asma Menon, who lives and works in Chennai, is celebrating Women’s Day with a solo exhibition at DakshinaChitra.
Asma acquired a B.Sc. in Visual Communication (1983) and a Masters in Fine Arts from the Government College of Arts & Crafts, Chennai.
She has held solo exhibitions in Chennai, Hyderabad, Puducherry, Mumbai and Bangalore and across the seas at Sri Lanka. Her group exhibitions have been taken to all corners of the globe.
Some of the notable awards that she has won are Vijay Rattan National Award for artist’s contribution to society (2005) Visual Arts category, Women Achievers Awards in Chennai-2001.
The DakshinaChitra exhibition would be held till March 15, 2011 at its art gallery in East Coast Road, Muttukadu, Chengalpattu district.
